A session on brachial plexus blockade in dogs will be held in conjunction with the 2011 Merial Congress in Riccione. Novello, Stefanelli and Gamba will give a comprehensive information in all aspects of the technique: from scientific evidence to clinical blockade, from MAC-sparing effect to sole anaesthetic with the aid of propofol TCI sedation, from blind to ENS and us guided administration, etc. Details and scientific evidence of axillary, parascapular and paravertebral approach to the plexus using blind, ENS and us technique will be provided, including insights into catheter placement for continuous analgesia. A final round table session will give delegates the opportunity to share their experience with speakers.
