The ISVRA Winter Week 2018 offers a combination of state of the art lectures, informal interactive sessions (i.e. workshops) beside the piste, and an hands-on session in a nearby Veterinary Hospital. Invited speakers are experts in the field of veterinary anaesthesia and pain management, and veterinary orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery.
Andalo (GoogleMaps: https://goo.gl/maps/xZtN35ZCfnJ2) and the Paganella Ski Area offer ice stadium, swimming pool. body fit, winter park, paragliding, snowshoeing, excursions with alpine guides and snow fun park for children. Wednesday 24 January 2018 from 11:00 to 18:30 - Clinical anaesthesia seminar
Title: Assessment and management of anaesthetic emergencies
Venue: Conference Hall Hotel Melchiori, via Fovo 3, Andalo, Trento, Italy
Speakers: Daniela Fumagalli (Desio, Italy), Lorenzo Novello (Piove di Sacco, Italy)

Thursday 25th of January from 9:30 to 12:30 – Workshop beside the piste
Title: Skiing with ‘cat and dog’.
Venue: Chalet Forst, a slope-side bar & restaurant located in Prati di Gaggia (access provided by gondola #7- Laghet - Prati di Gaggia)
Starring: Lorenzo Muraro (i.e. the surgeon) and Anestesista ISVRA (i.e. the anaesthetist).
Scientific programme: Lorenzo Muraro will answer attendee questions about all fields of surgery. Anestesista ISVRA will help with anaesthetic issues. Because discussion will happen in the Rifugio, attendance of non-skiing delegates is encouraged. Some skiing will take place during breaks. Speakers will be expert skiers, and they will be happy to provide some skiing tips & drills if asked.
Fees: 15 Euro if paid by 10 December 2017, 25 Euro by 10 January 2018, 30 Euro on site (Hotel Melchiori). A coffee break is included.

Scientific programme: 3 protocols to induce general anaesthesia and achieve intubation using propofol; propofol for maintenance of general anaesthesia - tips and tricks.

Some skiing will take place during breaks. The speaker will be an expert skier, and he will be happy to provide some skiing tips & drills if asked.
